More Gritty Street Photography from Reno
While I see moods are shifting and souring from many quarters on candid street photography, I still believe in the genre, to document without affect those who inhabit and still circulate in public spaces. It's a testimony to a time and place, into the second year of the pandemic, amid an affordability crisis and raging fires, in a downtown area in Reno still dominated by casinos, where despite a business improvement district, the idea still seems to get people inside, wishing for a payout, while leaving the streets, the bus station and the sidewalks in front of motels and corner stores to the undesirables and those hurrying along, with a few hipster spots dotted along the way.
