Live Journalism Up Ahead, A New Zine and More Street Photography

Happy to announce the Our Town Reno community niche website I coordinate is getting a new grant to organize live public journalism events giving the microphone to those directly affected by the affordable housing crisis, the demolition of motels, and the bulldozing of riverside encampments. Details here.

Above, a new zine, summarizing some of the recent stories from the Our Town Reno Facebook page, will soon be released and distributed at events around town. Below some recent street photography to be featured on the affiliate Biggest Little Streets Instagram. There are still recurring comments asking if permission was asked for all the photos, but I do believe in the value of documenting Reno's downtown streets, which seem to have a certain vintage quality and realness to them, which would not have same effect if subjects were posing.
