As part of the Swing County USA documentary project, I was at a Jeb Bush event this morning, where the theme wasn't exactly the Latino voter theme I am pursuing, but public lands and what to do with them, and how to manage the complex issue. Governor Bush did answer the final question, which was my own, about a Latino focused event in Las Vegas this afternoon ... in Spanish, so that was fun and on point. He also said he wasn't worried about Democrats or Joe Biden not being in the race, or his own poll numbers, citing others who have been high in recent election cycles and totally disappeared or lost by wide margins. During his talk, he mentioned the word "commonsensical" more than a few times, and called on communities to carry out their own solutions with a reduced federal role.
