#ThisisHomelessness in Reno Day 1

This week I am taking part in an awareness campaign to help at-risk and homeless youth in Reno, Nevada. Still and video cameras in hand, I am working with Lynette and Brian Eddy from the Eddy House as they seek to broaden the services they offer as part of the non-profit they started a few years ago.

The mother and son team, along with other homeless advocates, student filmmakers (including Nick Asher in photo), volunteers and a few local celebrities and journalists, will be living the homeless life for three days, with only backpacks, and without money to spend, and also interacting with at-risk populations.

Here are some photos from Day One. I am recharging my batteries and then going back out there for their first night on the street.
