A People's History on the Summit

As part of the Struggle and Hope documentary project on Oklahoma's still surviving historical all-black towns, this video is about Summit, Oklahoma, right outside Muskogee, a church, its people and history. The town was a haven after the Civil War, struggled during the drug epidemic of the 1980s, but is now slowly reviving. Its often untold history keeps living though, through its industrious, accomplished and very proud residents.
