Creech Air Force Drone Protest

While working on a documentary project about drones in Nevada, I drove twice across Death Valley, including by the Orwellian seeming part of highway dedicated to the Global War on Terror, to witness an anti military drone protest action at Creech Air Force Base, from where the Reaper and Predator drones are flown.

Seven women were arrested on Friday, while trying to deliver a letter to the base commander, to demand the end of drone strikes. While they were taken to a Las Vegas county jail, others in the protest group went ahead with a rush hour protest, displaying signs for drone operators, others leaving the base and commuters on the highway to think about.
