Editor / Videographer Employer: The Federal Government Location: Washington, DC Duration: Permanent / Full Time, starts ASAP

The Federal Government is currently accepting applications for a full time Editor/Videographer. The primary responsibility of this multi-faceted position will include editing and producing video content for distribution to media outlets and as web content. Strong familiarity with Apple Final Cut Pro, Motion, After Effects, Illustrator, Compressor and Photoshop required. Proficiency with motion graphics design/animation is a must. Beyond a solid technical production background in audio and video, candidates should demonstrate strong creative producing capabilities.

Producing skills, often in challenging and highly pressurized environments are essential. The successful candidate will be working with various clients to create a finished product within tight deadlines. Additionally, the successful candidate must demonstrate the competency to operate a video camera to record press events that are being repurposed as web content.

These responsibilities will require the candidate to work extremely well without supervision, to meet strict deadlines, and to demonstrate creative and reliable problem solving skills. Well-qualified candidates will have an educational background in television production, but more importantly 5 or more years of professional work experience within the field, strong communication skills, a great attitude and flexible with working hours.
