Different Generations of Media

battle it out inside VOA... This was my "editor for life" Kay's excellent idea, her Twitter here. VOA National Correspondent Jim Malone who says Tweeter also takes part. He has been very supportive of my multi-media projects at VOA, and this is his third guest appearance. Here, rather than historian expert, he is pundit against some of the fast-moving landscape of media. Kay likes the feel of a newspaper, but also listens to radio and uses Internet tools extensively.

Colleague Sean Maroney who likes his Blackberry is the star even if he doesn't have more than one million followers like Ashton Kutcher who beat out CNN in another sign celebrity/citizen journalist apocalypse is upon us.

Editor for Life Kayvalier scores and wins: New and old media go together like dictators and Cannes.

  2. I liked this; three very distinct and strong perspectives. But don't fade Kay's audio out at the end, it's really, really bizarre. I want to hear people finish their sentences. You can end with a black screen that says "join the discussion at www.whatever Web site"

As a source with intimate knowledge of the situation, I can tell you that NC was right to fade Kay out. If only I could do ... [fadeout]

What I want to know is, would Sean Maroney *pay* to read newspaper stories online?
