Mount Pleasant - From Race Riots to Welcoming Obama

This is my old neighborhood in D.C. Residents have moved away from black/Hispanic riots of the early 1990s to greeting Barack Obama with open arms hoping for more goodwill and an economic turnaround.

Coming up ... a video about an Afghan American artist who showcases Obama art ... and a very special (extra)ordinary person's view of Inauguration Day in the trenches. Still being compressed, uploaded, downloaded, etc...

Strangely my Internet has been slower in the U.S. than in Senegal ... Who would have thought? Very happy to be back for these historic times.
