Meta: A Year Without Posting
It's been a year of not posting anything. There's been growth, monetization, demonetization and tumult on the local Reno social media hyperlocal news sites I coordinate, which keeps me on my toes, on edge, learning, too connected and sometimes burnt out. I am interviewing a friend in Abidjan about his life in French for a book project I'd like to write during an unpaid sabbatical in the Pyrenees with my boys next school year. That will be a logistical challenge. I have one more class to grade, with articles to edit and post, giving me a bit of a back ache. I think that when my youngest will be a teen, I will be in my sixties, a different kind of Dad, less energetic, but maybe with more patience. I received a card from students who said I was funny. That's a good thing. This kind of post probably belongs more on my affiliate, previously more secretive Trips on Ash, but after a while it doesn't really matter does it?
